Updated Spectator Policy – Oct 25
COVID Spectator Plan Link
After much discussion, consideration and taking into account the various opinions and thoughts brought to the WLMHA board of directors the board has decided to move hockey a step closer to normal by increasing our spectator capacity through the use of Vaccine Passports. Effective 5Nov2021 “Spectators” will be required to show proof of vaccine using the official BC Government Vaccine passport. 19 and over will be required to also provide a Photo ID that matches their passport. Individuals 12 – 18 will only require the passport. PARENTS that are not comfortable with showing their proof of vaccination or don’t have it, can work with their team managers to be involved as part of the hockey operations, and doing the various volunteer jobs that do not require proof of vaccinations.
Team Managers will do what they can to work with parents in this regard but there are limited volunteer roles that fit this category.
Mask mandates have also changed with the most recent PHO announcements and we will be expecting anyone 5 and older to be wearing a mask while attending indoor events.
As always please remember that the individuals tasked with enforcing these requirements are volunteers and they are there to help facilitate the success of hockey for your children, there is no tolerance for abuse of these volunteers as we make these changes.
