A Message from the President
Hello Everyone,
I hope everyone is enjoying their spring and time with your families!
I would like to take a moment to introduce myself to those that may not know me. My name is Dustie Coombes and I am your new WLMHA President. I have had the privilege to serve on the board for the last 2 years, now taking on the role as President this year. I have been actively involved with minor hockey for the past 11 years. I have done several different roles over the years in my past association and here in Williams Lake. I am looking forward to meeting our many members over the coming year and I look forward to serving our membership and our association to the best of my ability. I know I have some big shoes to fill.
In recognition of National Volunteer Week, I want to take a moment to recognize our current and past volunteers that make this association run. We have many people who step up and take time out of their days to support this great game we love so much. Whether it is the coaches that are working with our kids on the ice or spending the extra time perfecting their practice plans. Our Team Managers and Division coordinators who are planning those extra games, tournaments and team building events or our Executive and Board members that are working and making sure that everything comes together. We have so many Volunteers that make the association work so that our kids can get on the ice and play. Thank you all for all that you do!
Although our season just finished, the new board is already starting the groundwork for our next season. We are still looking for a few more people help fill our Board of Directors to make our season run smoothly. If you are looking for a way to be more involved and help make an impact. This is a good place to start. If you are interested, please reach out to me directly.
I hope you all enjoy your summer, we will see you at the rink soon enough!
Yours in Hockey,
Dustie Coombes
WLMHA President
